Dear Writer’s Block,
It’s not you, it’s me, but I think it’s time we parted.
I know we’ve been together a while, but don’t be broken-hearted.
You’ve held my hand for far too long, my pencil blister’s grown soft
It’s time I returned to my pen in my grasp, though our intimate times were oft.
You were always there with me through my silent streak
But I’ve never felt so lonely
Without a pen, pencil, crayon in my hand
I felt more like a one and only.

You may think it more solitary, just my writing and me,
But truly you and I were never meant to be
And now I must go, your heart to flee
Good-Bye, Writer’s Block,
   Sincerely,
            Kailey
