Sit Down. Stand Up. (Snakes & Ladders)
“The Raindrops, The Raindrops, The Raindrops, The Raindrops, The Raindrops, The Raindrops, The Raindrops..”
Radiohead pulsing through my skull.
Sit Down. Stand Up. (Snakes and Ladders)
“We can wipe you out anytime…”
Nobody notices as I drift through space.
Empty Space.
Nothing there.
You notice,
But I don’t.
“Anytime… Anytime… Stand Up, Sit Down.”
You pull the earphones out of my ears, and whisper quietly into my ear,
“The Raindrops, The Raindrops… Anytime.”
You put the earphones back into my ears and walk off.
I see the paper crumpled into my own hand from you.
I watch you walk off,
Away from me.
My eyes graze across the paper,
And I smile.
I will meet you.
And you’ll “Sail Us To The Moon.”
