Writing out of boredom: Arrows
The young girl ran through the thickly grown forest on stealthy feet. Her auburn hair flowed behind her, ripping on the branches of the towering oaks, slowly growing tattered and ridden with leaves and twigs. Suddenly, the girl's eyes widened and she collapsed upon the leaf strewn floor riddled with moss that would soon be tainted red. She lay still as blood trickled out of her mouth and ran down her dress. The new wound glistened in the faint moonshine, as the warm liquid pooled around her fragile body, and an arrow protruded through her heart.
