crusade;
I wipe my sword on the bloodied grass, trying not to shudder as I hear the guns fire around me, the wounded crying around me, humanity dying around me, and when I look towards the sky, I do not see the salvation we have been looking for, no, it is just a blank stretch of blackness, and then I feel something metallic and sharp pierce right through my heart, and as I fall to my grave, I think last, the blood doesn’t quite reach the skies, and then the pain is gone, the death is gone, the world is gone.
