Never Truer Words
A Catholic man died and went to heaven.
As he stood stood before God, he smiled triumphantly and said,
"Ha! So Catholics were right!"
God smiled kindly at the man and nodded.
"Yes and no, my son." He said softly.
The man looked confused. He scratched his head, and asked
"Well, than what is your true name?"
"I have many names, each one of them as true as the next. Jesus Christ, Allah, Buddah, they are all correct."
The man thought for a moment, and then he understood. A look of enlightenment passed across his face as he said,
"So it doesn't matter the name of the religion! Whenever people gather in peace to worship one god, they are worshipping you!"
God smiled, and put his hand on the man's shoulder. Leading him off to Heaven he whispered in his ear,
"My dearest son, never truer words were spoken."
