Kiratani is half-sister to Inuyasha and daughter to Inu no Taisho. Her name means 'Glittering Valley'. She bears an uncanny resemblance to Sesshomaru (due to their being twins) except that she has only one dark purple stripe on either side of her face and no moon on her brow (much like her father). She shares her father's disposition and views on humanity and took Inuyasha in and raised him soon after Izayoi died. She dearly loves her younger brother and despises Sesshomaru for being cruel to him.
