The Successful, the Deprived
I’ve mistaken
On this isle of dejection
The loneliness for wholeness
And my eyes for love were beckoned
Towards a hopeful land
A land of love
But one first must sacrifice
In order to be chosen
To join the land of successful men
And women who aren’t broken
But take from me, my isle has
And all but life is lost
I guess my isle of sadness thrives
On tides of dreams, tossed
Tossed aside by those whom ride
The waves towards the shore
For them, chosen doesn’t work
They make success their chore
