Mirror on a Hill
I raised my glass
To a clouded mirror on a hill
There on green grass it sat
Lazily reflecting the sky
In the midst of noon
And I let go of a black and white
Photo of frozen time
Walking down the hill to never look
Back on what I had left
In that field of blooming flowers
Or what I couldn't find
In the fairy tale when I was young
And never quite understood
Why Hansel and Gretal were lost
And all alone in the world
But days roll on regardless
And in the least presumptuous of Moments I'd lie awake
In order to watch these clouds go by and never to return
