You can't choose who you love but you can love who you choose.

I am building a brick wall inside me so when nothing is right I will be strong.
I wander if I can ever find a place in this twisted world where I fully belong.
I hear bricks falling together making me much harder to break yet I hear a sad song.
I want to fight for love and acceptance so I can live life like nothing is wrong.
I am building a brick wall inside me so when nothing is right I will be strong.

Bricks fall into me.
So I can see.
The breath I take.
Won’t let me break.

I pretend it is okay to always try and believe that I can start changing the bad.
I feel like I am lost at sea without hope yet I find myself hoping not mad.
I touch the salt that burned all the open wounds in and out of what I had.
I worry about always being this crazy way because there is already too much pain to add.
I cry when I am tired of looking around and I just can not just be glade.
I am building a brick wall inside me so when nothing is right I will be strong.

Bricks fall into me.
So I can see.
The breath I take.
Won’t let me break.

I understand only what I came to know and that is that loneliness cans not goo on forever.
I say what does not kill only makes us stronger because to me, that is very cleaver.
I dream that one day all my crazy worries will fly away like a red bird feather.
I try hard to wear a mask of calm so that I will show no weakness ever.
I hope this world of lost will not be like there is no such thing as never.
I am building a brick wall inside me so when nothing is right I will be strong.

Bricks fall into me.
So I can see.
The breath I take.
Won’t let me break.
