Visiting the Grave - In memory of Gho Lacey MAG
Our first one-sided conversation
Was nothing strange:
“I’m fine, school still sucks,
I hope you like it where you are.”
Our first gift exchange,
Simple, to say the least
Flowers from my backyard
Fresh sod on jeans you would never see me wear
My tiresome good-byes
Leaving as the sun sets
Whispering, “I won’t forget you,”
Waiting for a response
Two minutes, ten minutes,
twenty minutes
Maybe next time
